The 82nd Love and Caring Action by Volunteers

Add sweetness to their lives and make them feel different beauty and warmth. On May 15, 2021, Dasin Commonweal Volunteer Team once again walked into the home of the disabled youth Xiao Tong (pseudonym) and the autistic youth Ting Ting (pseudonym) to provide caring service and accompany them, creating a happy time for them.

During the visit, the volunteers prepared the ingredients for fruit cream cups, and made fruit cream cups with Xiao Tong, Ting Ting and their mother: they diced the fruit, and matched the fruit, cream, and Oreo biscuits in the cup. Led by the volunteers, they were full of joy and satisfaction when each step was completed. After putting the last decoration in the fruit cream cups, the production was completed. After putting the fruit cream cups in the refrigerator for a while, the volunteers shared them with Xiao Tong, Ting Ting and their mother. Xiao Tong and Ting Ting were very satisfied with the delicious desserts made by them. During the tasting process, everyone had a sweet smile on their faces.

While tasting the desserts, the volunteers communicated with their mothers and learned that Xiao Tong has now transferred to another occupational therapy station with a better environment, and is studying hard to prepare for the job in the future; Ting Ting will also graduate in July this year. After graduation, her mother plans to arrange for Ting Ting to study and work in the same occupational therapy station as Xiao Tong. Their mom said that with continuous efforts, their life will usher in a better change despite the difficulty in taking care of two daughters.

Since pairing with Xiao Tong and Ting Ting’s family, the volunteers have insisted on conducting monthly home visits, showing love and warming care to them, constantly adding sweetness to their lives, and making them feel happy and warm.
