The 80th Love and Caring Action by Volunteers

On April 17, 2021, Dasin Commonweal Volunteer Team once again walked into the home of the disabled youth Xiao Tong (pseudonym) and the autistic youth Ting Ting (pseudonym) to provide caring service and accompany them, making them feel warm love and care!

During this visit, the volunteers brought Xiao Tong and Ting Ting's favorite log cabin DIY materials and health soup ingredients into their home. Seeing the arrival of the volunteers, they were very happy, and Ting Ting clapped her hands to greet them. During this activity, under the guidance of the volunteers, Xiao Tong and Ting Ting worked together to build the small log cabin. With reference to the manual, they looked for the parts according to the numbers, and carried out paper cutting, gluing and combination. In the step-by-step production process, their logic and hands-on ability was practiced, and with joint efforts, the frame of the log cabin was completed.

Meanwhile, through communication with Xiao Tong and her family, the volunteers learned that Xiao Tong intends to participate in a vocational skills training activity in Guangzhou. With the assistance of the volunteers, Xiao Tong communicated with the training organization via mobile phone, learned more about the detailed arrangement of the activity, and completed an online interview. After the interview, the volunteers also discussed the training activity with Xiao Tong and her family, analyzed the pros and cons, and feasibility of participation in the training, and related issues that need to be considered in depth, and put forward reasonable and feasible suggestions for Xiao Tong's future development. Since pairing with Xiao Tong and Ting Ting's

family, the volunteers have insisted on conducting monthly home visits, constantly showing care and warmth to them. Through long-term service, the volunteers have entered their inner world and established a deep relationship with them. In the future, the volunteers will continue to stick to their original aspiration and walk with them hand in hand!
