To improve the sense of happiness and belonging of disabled persons and enrich their lives, on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Dasin Public Welfare Service Center, Dasin Metro Mall and Zhongshan Disabled Persons Federation jointly organized and carried out the caring activity “A Trip for Caring in the Mid-Autumn Festival” on September 18.
At the event site, more than 30 disabled persons participated in the event. With the assistance of the volunteers, they enhanced their feelings through interactive games, lantern making and other activities. The disabled persons and volunteers sat in a circle to play the game of Passing Down, and made red lanterns together, and there were bursts of laughter from time to time at the site.
With the assistance of the volunteers, the disabled persons completed the production of lanterns. They held the lanterns to show the fruits of their work to the volunteers. The lanterns in their hands seemed to shine, reflecting the joy and warmth of being cared on their faces.
Towards the end of the event, Dasin Public Welfare Service Center and Dasin Metro Mall also organized caring merchants to send festival gifts to disabled persons, such as oil, rice, soy sauce, vinegar, paper towels and moon cakes, creating a strong atmosphere of care. Lu Zhanqiang, President of Zhongshan Disabled Persons Federation, said, “Dasin and other caring units have given us a lot of help and support, which fully demonstrates these companies’ responsibility to society and makes us very moved.”
