The 68th Love and Caring Action by Volunteers

     On August 22, 2020, Dasin Commonweal Volunteer Team brought specially prepared nutritious food, snacks, books and other loving gifts, and once again walked into the home of the youth Xiao Ming (pseudonym) for a caring visit.

  

  On the day of the visit, through conversations with Xiao Ming and his grandma, the volunteers learned about some problems in Xiao Ming’s home recently, which confused both Xiao Ming and his grandma, and they did not know how to solve them. The volunteers learned about their specific difficulties through in-depth communication with Xiao Ming and his grandma. For their difficulties, the volunteers will contact the social work organization and make use of the professional intervention service of social workers to alleviate their difficulties.

  

  Later, in order to alleviate Xiao Ming’s recent depression, the volunteers created some happy atmosphere for Xiao Ming’s home through interactive games with Xiao Ming. When the service was nearing the end, the volunteers had an in-depth conversation with Xiao Ming again to understand his inner thoughts, and put forward feasible suggestions for his future path.

  

  Since November 2017, the volunteers have insisted on visiting Xiao Ming’s home every month to provide caring services and follow up the conditions of Xiao Ming and his grandma. Faced with the special difficulties of Xiao Ming’s family, the volunteers know that the path to solution is long and difficult, but they firmly believe that with love, they will gradually bring positive changes to their lives!
