Love and Movie Watching

To make disabled persons go out of their houses, watch a movie, integrate into the society and realize their little wishes, Dasin Public Welfare Service Center and Zhongshan Disabled Persons Federation jointly organized the activity “Love and Movie Watching” in Dasin  Metro Mall Xinyue on the afternoon of November 16, 2019. Disabled persons in the urban area of Zhongshan, their family members and volunteers came to the mall to participate in the activity in high spirits.

Before the movie screening, Lu Zhanqiang, President of Zhongshan Disabled Persons Federation, delivered a speech for the movie watching activity, stressing the importance of meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of disabled persons, and encouraging disabled persons to actively participate in public cultural activities and share social and cultural achievements.

The carefully selected movie China Captain has vivid scenes and rich plots. A disabled person who participated in the activity said happily, “I usually have no chance to go into a movie theater to watch such a wonderful movie. I’m totally focused on the development of the movie plot. I feel great. I hope that more such activities will be organized in the future, so that we disabled persons can integrate into the big family of the civilized society.”

This movie watching activity guided the disabled persons to actively participate in social life, brought the disabled persons who have been at home for a long time out of their homes, broadened their horizons, enriched their cultural life, and also allowed them to find their own wonderful sky in social care.
