The 38th Love and Care Action of Dasin Volunteer Team

On the afternoon of July 13, 2019, the public welfare voluntary team of Dasin conducted monthly love activity, carried out the caring action for teenagers who need care in Shiqi District and family visit for objects.

In the activity, the volunteers also knew about the recent situation of the grandma, who has suffered from soreness of waist and foot pain after long time care of Xiaoming. Recently, the grandma received the leg surgery and got much better. During the period of communicating with the volunteers, the grandma showed them the family photos and shared the memories with them. The grandma said that few people could chat with her like this and accompany Xiaoming enthusiastically. She was very delighted to see them and hoped that they could often visit them in the future. 

While they visited Xiaoming's home, another group of volunteers also entered the home of the disabled youth Xiaotong (pseudonym). Out of multiple mosquitoes in summer, the volunteers specially prepared the raw materials of making anti-mosquito sachet for Xiaotong and the family, and made it together with Xiaotong. In the production process, the volunteers chatted with Xiaotong sincerely, understood his recent conditions in the work therapy station and guided him to tolerate the colleagues in special conditions. Meanwhile, they deeply explained the new policy of family relief issued by Zhongshan recently, led him to communicate more with related staff of the community and try to apply for more assistance.



In the activity, the volunteers also knew that Xiaotong wanted to increase income by selling the idle items of the house. So volunteers helped them put idle items on the online platform, which were soon sold out, thus increasing income for Xiaotong. Xiaotong felt very excited and delighted, for he had not expected the quick sale and increased income.



The volunteers of Dasin have insisted the monthly public welfare activity for a long time. They provide care for those in need, which is as warm as sunshine. In the future, the volunteers of Dasin will still do good works, accompany people in need with love and bring hope to their life.
